Journey Waters

Back in 2013, I began writing a travelogue as I toured the country with my dog, Lexie in a 1978 VW Bus.

Along the way, people began commenting on my posts in a way I did not expect. They were enjoying my stories and looking forward to more each day. I didn’t know it then, but that would be the start of something that would eventually change my life.

As I look back today, I realize that there were three times in my life where the writer inside me was trying to get out. The first began in the early Nineties when I created, wrote and published a monthly newsletter for my job in the Office Supply Industry. The second time was when I created, wrote and published a monthly newsletter for my Real Estate Business. Unlike the first, which had a limited audience of employees, the second was public and distributed to over One Thousand homes each month.

Soon, my blog grew beyond a travelogue. I had begun writing about politics, life events as well as short stories and eventually poetry. I received positive encouragement from my friend each step of the way.

In 2016, I began working on my first novel. By the end of 2016, with three stories in the works and many daily travelogues happening simultaneously, I realized the blog had grown past its original intent. I decided to split the original blog into two new blogs. journeywaters.com for my Short Stories, Poetry and Novel and wonderofwander.com (for sale) which focused on my Vagabond Travels. Today, I have merged them together in an attempt to spend less time on a computer and more time having real experience.
