Monsters and Demons
Monsters and Demons afraid of this light return to the darkness hiding from sight
With things to do and places to be there isn’t time to remember what frightened me
The Eagle Soars
Flowers have begun to push up from the ground Ice no longer covering the chilly water Spring has sprung, perhaps too soon Colors on the lake now muted to Grey and White as the falling snow blankets the earth
This World
The bow of the kayak cuts through water, barely making a ripple Reeds brush up against me, as my boat glides by I drift over a large snapper, she looks up in curiosity
The Blind Date
Forced together by others for reasons unknown a Vet returning from service meets a woman who wasn’t alone
Alone I sit
Alone I sit on this moonless night By the edge of our lake staring into the night
Moonlight
Moonlight Poem, Cold night
