One thing I like to do when I arrive in a region is to learn about the locals. Their culture, their hangouts and their language. While I had trouble pronouncing many of the towns while in Hawaii, Massachusetts wins with their complete disregard for rules or even spelling when it comes to pronouncing their town names.
